B I O G R A P H Y

Colombian contemporary artist based in Mexico since 2011. With nearly two decades of artistic practice, her work explores the intersections of ecology, feminism, mysticism, and critical inquiry, particularly through our relationships with plants, substances, and ancestral knowledge.

Trained in Architecture and Visual Arts at the Pontifical Xaverian University and the National University of Colombia in Bogotá, Ochoa creates living artworks, including urban gardens, forests, and collaborative spaces. Her practice engages with communities across Colombia, Mexico, and beyond, blending ancient wisdom with contemporary life to cultivate new forms of coexistence between humans and the beings we share this world with: plants, animals, fungi, and unseen organisms.

Projects like Pharmakon reflect her deep research into ethnobotany, herbalism, ritual, food, medicine, and trans-species communication. Her work seeks to awaken awareness and reverence for the natural world. Ochoa has exhibited widely in international museums, galleries, and cultural institutions, including:
